Taino Indians would use this item to create detail works of art. They would gather hay, sticks, or any skinny item they can find and wrap it all together. Then they would dip the wrapped items into an ink like liquid to use as a pen. These artifacts would be used to create fine details in the art they made. They would present these images for the Gods and deities to praise them by.
